CANDLES - LIGHT UP RESPONSIBLY.

While candles are completely safe, it’s important that you enjoy them responsibly, taking extra care to avoid accidental injury or fire damage. We recommend you follow these guidelines carefully when burning your candle.

  • NEVER LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED.
  • Always trim your wicks to ¼” before (re)lighting your candle. Never trim a wick (or cover a candle) that’s still hot.
  • On your very first burn, after trimming your wick to ¼" in length, allow the candle to create a burn pool (melted wax) that fills the vessel across the entire candle - edge to edge. This may take up to 3 or 4 hours depending on the size of your candle. Candle wax has memory, so if this step is important step is skipped, each subsequent lighting can likely result in wick tunneling - when the wick burns faster than it's able to melt the wax across the candle, causing it to burrow through the center of the candle and ultimately not able to burn because the flame is extinguished by the wax burn.
  • Each time you relight your candle, only allow the candle to burn up to 4 hours. Letting a candle burn longer may result in high flames, extremely hot vessel temperature (cracking/shattering), and possibly even sputtering of wax (however, uncommon).
  • Always burn your candle on a heat-resistant surface, free of drafts/vents, and away from other objects (at least 3 inch clearance around candle) and combustible items.
  • Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room.
  • Always keep wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and other debris.
  • To avoid accidental wax spills or burns, never move or touch a candle when it’s melted (liquid form). Always wait for the wax to cool (and solidify again) before moving your candle or covering it.
  • Never use water to extinguish a candle - blow gently or use a candle snuffer.
  • Make sure that candle is fully extinguished and the wick ember is no longer glowing before walking away from your candle.
  • KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS.
  • DO NOT CONSUME.

    REED DIFFUSERS.

To best enjoy the benefits of your reed diffuser, place the product in an area where it can rest without carefully and:
    • insert the rattan reeds into the bottle allowing them to rest in the fragrance. The more reeds you use the stronger the fragrance - for more subtle scent, use fewer (and the diffuser will last longer, too).
    • flip the reeds as often as you wish (typically every 2-3 weeks) to enhance the fragrance.
    • keep away from high traffic areas where the bottle is more likely to get knocked over and spill (or break). If a spill does occur, clean up immediately as the fragrance oils may damage floors and other finishes.
    • keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight as the reeds can dry and the fragrance will evaporate.
    • avoid contact with furniture, fabrics, and plastic as it may cause damage and/or discoloration.
    • avoid eye and skin contact. If irritation occurs, rinse thoroughly with water or seek medical attention, if needed.
    • KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS.
    • KEEP AWAY FROM DIRECT FLAME.
    • DO NOT CONSUME.

    ROOM & LINEN SPRAYS.

These sprays are a great way to add a burst of fragrance, on demand. Whether you're freshening the guest bed, bathroom, or mud room, you should:
    • spray as much fragrance as your job requires. Keep in mind that heavier sprays may leave moisture that will need time to dry before touching.
    • spray directly onto linens and textiles for best results and longer lasting scent.
    • avoid using on leather goods since the spray is water based and may damage such materials. We recommend testing your spray on new textiles in a conspicuous area to gauge any effects.
    • keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight as it may damage the effect of the fragrance product.
    • KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS.
    • KEEP AWAY FROM DIRECT FLAME.
    • DO NOT CONSUME.
